Once you've captured a piece of land you can expand its size by pressing "capture land" again within a 500 meter radius (the land will grow instead of a new flag being placed). Each such expansion and also each new flag are considered as one point towards the nearest base's level (you can see your base level progress in the "my lands" tab). So to reach level 2 you need to capture 5 separate lands or upgrade one 4 times. Does that make sense? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Bases are automatically named after a nearby city, landmark or region, but we are planning to implement additional controls and allow individual lands to have names, plus have an ability to rename high level lands yourself.
