Forum inbox

Why are we allowed to have only one conversation in our inbox and have to delete it if we want to write any other message? 
I know that only a few people actually use the pm system here in the forum but it would be great to be able to have at least more than one conversation

It would be, but it doesn't appear to be possible in this forum system.
I will ask the Invision Power Board developers the "Why?" question later in a bit.
