[Suggestion for the game]

For the messaging area you can message a player that you can see, you have the ability to sort each player into ally, neutral, and enemy in the chat so you know how to deal with them. I have been trying to ally this one person nearby that's been my biggest threat (the rest have small territories that I'm not worried about) but they wont accept, I want to negotiate with them without having to wage war (yet :>)

As far as I know I have not changed any of my settings and have tried many ways to fix it but to no prevail.
