If you build a base by capturing a land before the tutorial gives you the objective to capture a new land, you will have a bug to where, no matter how far you venture from your 1st claimed land, it will only level up the base, and not capture whatever you are trying to capture. I had to fix this problem by making a new account entirely and then following the steps in the tutorial in order. Hope I explained it well enough. Thanks.
