  1. Just wanted to let you guys know that we're trying out a new resource allocation formula; from now on you should see more resources appear in a walking distance radius, especially for new players. Please let me know if you see (or don't see!) any difference!
  2. As of 1.6.3 we're launching an "Unobtainium promotion campaign" that increases all Unobtainium gain from subscriptions and in-app purchases by 300%. Weekly subscriptions now award 10 and 20 units per week (instead of 3 and 6), and one-off packages offer 30, 60, 120, 300 and 600 units of Unobtainium respectively for the same price as before. Additionally, we've added a couple of generic fixes and enhancements in this release, specifically: Zooming out the "Earth View" will now show the maximum attack & land capture radius for each base. This should help understand how far your base extends and where you'd need to go to establish a new base. New setting labelled "Updates via Wi-Fi only" has been added to "My Profile". Previously the Wi-Fi requirement was always enabled, but as it turns out a large number of players missed out on important updates because they were unaware of the need to use Wi-Fi. Accordingly, we've added the ability to control this functionality yourself, with the default value being "off" (i.e. updates will download whenever available). If you have strict download restrictions on your mobile data please make sure to switch "Updates via Wi-Fi only" to "on" in your profile. 1.6.3 is already available on the Play Store and will appear on the App Store later this week.

That's correct: bases are only upgraded by lands captured outside of their minimum radius. As Domination is all about travel and going somewhere it wouldn't make sense if you could build a powerful empire without leaving your home. Each land captured and each upgrade performed on external lands count as a point towards your base's next level, while capturing land on your base provides a temporary defence boost (up to +20 points for subsequent check-ins).

It certainly is possible! But when would you *not* want to capture land? I just can't think of any disadvantages in having more lands!

Yes, we are planning to introduce "promotions" and discounts for Unobtainium indeed, as the originally planned prices we ramped up by taxes and fees added by the App and Play Store. So hang on, there will be changes in that area once we figure the balance out. Unobtainium is fairly useful though: you can exchange it for any resource or build time-saving structures such as Supply Factory. However, certain features do cost much more on purpose: Nuclear Silo would be devastating for the game balance if everyone possessed it. We intended this structure as a last resort to "level the ground' for new players in heavily populated areas (yup, we have some of those! :)) and making it more affordable would encourage pay-to-win. We're always open to suggestions and ideas though!
  6. It should be available via the in-app update: make sure you are connected to wifi and then open Earth View; once the lands load you should see a black message appearing at the bottom of the screen saying "updating application...". Give it a few seconds and the update should be installed automatically. Please let me know if that doesn't happen though! This update will appear on the app store as well at some point, but we are still waiting for Apple to approve our subscriptions (until that happens we can't release a new version). So fingers crossed!
  7. To answer a question received via PM: you can access all produced tools & items via the new "Lightning Bolt" button on the "Earth View" tab (it's a round yellow button just above the "Current Objectives" / "i" button). Simply tap on an item in the "Available" tab and it will move to "Activated" once you confirm this action. If you receive any items that have a blue timer bar on the "Available" tab then you're in possession of a time-bound tool that will disappear after a while unless activated. At the moment you can only carry 10 items in total, but there will be ways of increasing this limit in the future.
  8. Version 1.6 of "Domination: Earth" has launched on the Play Store earlier today and will appear in a couple of days on the App Store for Apple devices. This update includes a bunch of exciting changes, such as: A new building named "Assembly Plant", allowing to manufacture random tools and power-ups extending your collection capabilities and helping to pick up otherwise inaccessible resources. This building is only accessible when you are present on the base that built it, so make sure to equip yourself with as many items as possible before heading outside to hunt resources. Item effects are cumulative, so activating two items of the same kind will double the bonus (3 items = x3 bonus and so on). Capturing Land or Picking Up Resources will now highlight the collection radius on the world map briefly (2 seconds), allowing to see the collection radius bonus from all activated items. It is now possible to sign in to the game using Google+ and Facebook accounts. If you have already created an in-game account with the same email address as the one used by Google/Facebook, that in-game account will be automatically merged with your social network account upon first login using the social network buttons. However, if you have a different email address in "Domination: Earth", but would still like to enjoy logging in without passwords via Facebook or Google, please PM me on this forum and I'll be happy to link your accounts manually. Please note that the new Google+ and Facebook login buttons may have already appeared in your app due to an automatic in-app update facility. However, these buttons will not function until you update the game to version 1.6 via the Play Store / App Store, as these new features require additional user permissions that don't get activated automatically by the in-app update. In any case, please do not hesitate message me if you run into any trouble with the social network logins. New ways to purchase Unobtainium: two weekly subscription options have been added, offering 3 units for £3.00 or 6 units for £5.00. Several bugs have been fixed, such as the one preventing users from seeing their lands if their colour was bright red, white, black or a specific combination of these (won't list all of them, as all colours are now functional :)). As always, please post if you run into any issues or have ideas that you'd like to see implemented; all suggestions are greatly appreciated and are what forms our development process!
  9. Heya! Are you using an iPhone or an Android device? If the latter, we've just released version 1.6 which includes tools and power ups that allow collecting hard to reach resources Apple users will receive this update via the app store later this week! As for your suggestion to collect resources from a base - we have something similar planned; watch out for future updates.
  10. Sure! Once you've captured a piece of land you can expand its size by pressing "capture land" again within a 500 meter radius (the land will grow instead of a new flag being placed). Each such expansion and also each new flag are considered as one point towards the nearest base's level (you can see your base level progress in the "my lands" tab). So to reach level 2 you need to capture 5 separate lands or upgrade one 4 times. Does that make sense?
  11. Heya! Are you capturing/upgrading land while at your campus? Or have you reached the maximum available land level already? If not, I recommend using "capture land" as much as possible as this action will inevitably generate some resource in your area. But I am also working on a solution that will allow reaching resources further away from yourself: next version of the game (1.6.0) includes "items & power-ups" allowing to extend your collection radius. All item and power-up effects are stackable, so if you accumulate a multitude of items you will be able to collect resources from a very large area without the need to drive around. The release of 1.6.0 is tentatively planned for this weekend; I hope it helps with your situation, but if not, we'll have a think about other options!

I am happy to confirm that both Google+ and Facebook logins will become available in version 1.6.0 (planned for release later this week). If you've already created an account with the same email as your Facebook / Google email address, your in-game account will be merged with the associated social network upon first login in version 1.6.0. Alternatively, if you did use a different email to create a "Domination: Earth" account, but would like to use Facebook/Google instead, please PM me with your two emails (Domination and Facebook/Google) and I'll link them for you manually. P.S. Please *DO NOT* send me any of your passwords - this must remain secret and known only to you at all times! Just the email or display name is sufficient.
  13. Thanks, IamJamesBond! And welcome to the community! We have many exciting changes planned for the future versions of Domination, so keep an eye out for the App Store / Play Store updates!
  14. No problem and thank you for your help testing this! I will include a fix to the problematic colors in the next release so that it doesn't happen to anyone else.
  15. Ah, thank you for clarifying! Do you remember what color you've selected for your borders on the original account? Just for the sake of experiment, could you login to the problematic account, go to "My Profile" and change the border color to bright red or blue? I suspect that certain shades may be causing issues on some devices (trying to reproduce the problem as we speak )... In any case, if that doesn't help I'd be happy to transfer your belongings to the new account (the one that works ), just PM me your new account's username.
  16. No need to delete bases, I'm sure we can get to the bottom of this without that! Just to confirm, do you see any icons at all when you zoom out the camera (e.g. flags, binoculars when you zoom out really far)? Or the only thing that ever appears on your map is the blue indicator of your current position? May I also ask if you are running the latest version of the game (1.5.1) and there are no updates available on the App Store?
  17. Hi! That is really an unusual issue; model of the iPhone isn't supposed to affect building visibility! Your initial base (and its buildings) is supposed to remain invisible to other players until you attack someone, but it should always be visible to you. It's weird that this seems to be happening the other way round for you. I will investigate!
  18. I'm open to ideas, but please elaborate! What would the fundamental differences be between clans and alliances?
  19. No problem! I've deleted your primary base and moved its wall to the secondary base you have. Next time you check-in you should establish your new primary base, so be careful with the location! Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with though!
  20. Base relocation feature is in my task list, but it's hard to say if it's going to appear in the next version or in the one after. In the meantime I'm happy to delete your base, so that your next check-in created a new base in the right place. Are you happy for me to do that?
  21. Hi! Do you get any message at all when that happens?
  22. Makes sense, yes! I'll have a think about possible options that we could implement. I am happy to hear that you're enjoying Domination though!

No problem, I'll see if we can add this as an option in the next release!
  24. Thank you, Franzol! We are doing our best to make Domination fun for everyone.
  25. Watch out for 1.5.1 later today, featuring the following changes: Capturing Land in an area with no resources will deploy 50 random resource spots straight away. Capturing Land in an area with fewer than 50 resources will generate extra resource spots (up to +5). Unobtainium Store no longer freezes on devices with a default language different to English (GB). As always, please do not hesitate to post if you run into any issues or have any suggestions.
