    Feedback: Quests

All quests generate a reward from a range of values. Sometimes the reward is low, sometimes it will be much higher. Very few values are actually preset to a static amount to make things interesting and changing every time you encounter the same quest. But we are somewhat of a "democratic" player-driven community, so I welcome feedback from everyone else on their experience with quests and the encountered rewards (I am always open to new ideas).
  2. There is a density limit of approximately 50 units of each resource per 3km from any given position (e.g. your base), so if you are receiving that limit warning it simply means that too many units of money and personnel are spawned around and no one's picking them up (so no more are added). That limit is radius-based, so will change as you move around (since more or fewer resources will happen to be within 3km of yourself) and is a bit painful to display/calculate in real-time. However, I will have a think about a possible solution that'll help to know whether you can or cannot spawn a specific resource before pressing a button.

    Tactician

Thank you, @Luna! That is correct. Tactician lowers the chance of each unit being killed by any attack during each wave, same as having an additional wall that is always active on all lands.
  4. Land capture wasn't working exclusively due to iOS failing to download the geocoding mappings, a fix for which was released via an in-app update on Oct 27, 9:58 AM. No releases were made since then. If the capture started working for you recently then there are only two possible explanations: 1) The in-app update has just reached your device with a massive delay (possibly due to connectivity issues, lack of space, the game not being open long enough or something along those lines). 2) Your device had a local cache of the invalid geocoding maps that has finally expired on its own accord. In any case, I am glad that this is now resolved! However, I would be super grateful if you upgraded to iOS 14.2 to see if that helps with the scrolling issue as well.
  5. That is absolutely mind-blowing, but amazing news indeed. ๐Ÿ˜… I would be extremely grateful if anyone else with this problem confirmed the resolution by upgrading to 14.2!
  6. Thanks for the additional info, guys! A small update from my end as well: the timing of this problem is seriously unfortunate, as we are getting a new NBN (broadband) line installed for the entire street and there have been massive delays with getting it finalized & functional. I've had no reliable internet access since the beginning of October and have already exhausted all of the mobile hotspots in my possession. Without that I cannot download any MacOS updates and don't have any iOS 14 Simulators or physical devices (outside of my budget, unfortunately ) to work on. And as you noticed, the issue did not exist on iOS earlier than 14, so I cannot release an update blindly without actually ensuring that any fix worked. However, as soon as anything changes I will post again. Thanks very much for your patience, everyone!
  7. It's not that simple, unfortunately, as there is nothing to roll back; I haven't changed anything even remotely connected to scrolling in many months and all modifications (incl. the scrollable screens) work on all emulators in my possession that run on iOS 13. The only thing that has changed is Apple releasing iOS 14, which is, apparently, incompatible with something that's always worked previously (and I have no idea what that is!). So until I manage to reproduce the problem to understand what is it exactly that Apple has added it will be close to impossible for me to address the issue, unfortunately. It is quite ironic as I thought about dropping support for Apple devices altogether more than once: out of nearly 100,000 players that we have there are only a few dozen active iPhone users. However, I do value every single one of our fans, especially those who report things on the forum, so I will continue investigating and fixing these issues just for you (I just need a bit more time!).
  8. Just to clarify, there are no notifications, the update simply downloads invisibly in the background while you're playing (usually in a few seconds, but could be up to a minute depending on your network) and all you need after that is fully close and reopen the app (moving it into the background mode is not enough though, it has to be stopped). Reinstalling the app from the App Store reverts it back to the earliest version and the in-app updates have to be downloaded all over again on top of that. So just to avoid misunderstandings: you've reinstalled the app from the app store, land capture doesn't work straight away, left the app running for a minute, fully closed it, reopened and the capture still doesn't work? If that is the case then it could be an issue specific to the latest iPhone OS; unfortunately, emulators or my older devices (that cannot get upgraded beyond iOS 10) cannot reproduce either of the problems. I am on the lookout for a new iPhone to work on, but this may take a while (as an entirely new one is out of my budget, I'm afraid ). In any case, I apologize for all the trouble and want to reassure you that I am still working on resolving this for all users!
  9. Hi @Twilia, Thanks for the report! Facebook have, indeed, decommissioned their older login facilities yesterday, but our latest version of the app (2.6.0) should still be functional. Could you please download the latest update and let me know if you're still unable to log in?
  10. Hmm, I don't believe anything's changed in that area; tapping on a "construction" icon on one of the flags' tooltips should still bring up the construction menu (allowing to build new structures and upgrade the existing ones). Some markers also have the "drop-down" icon (little arrow pointing down) which opens the "building management" menu, allowing to perform actions and also upgrades. If your UI does not look like that I would appreciate a screenshot!
  11. Alright, the in-app fix should now be live! My apologies for the delay. Please launch the app, give it 30 seconds to download the new update, restart it and let me know if you still can't capture lands!
  12. Thanks for confirming! Looks like the problem is in the latest in-app update indeed. I've disabled auto-updates for iOS for now, so reinstalling the app should roll you back to the stable/functional version. Unfortunately, that also means that upgrading the individual utility structures will not work until the next patch. But at least you should be able to capture lands again. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  13. Really sorry for this, guys, I will fix this asap on Monday, but unfortunately I have been taken away from my computer by other matters and won't be able to help until then, sorry! However, please try reinstalling the game from the app store and see if that works! ๐Ÿ˜‰
  14. Thanks, guys! All this additional information helps!
  15. Ok, fair enough, 5 TP may have been a little to steep. I have adjusted this cost to be 1 TP from now on, which translates to "go literally anywhere outside of your house (no matter how close to the land border) and that will allow you to get some additional resources". However, I think saying that there is no reason to have additional bases is a bit over-dramatic. Not only your current resource capacity is significantly larger than any new player's (and collecting the manually-spawned resources using a super magnet while outside your base actually stores every single one of them without running into limitations), but you are able to produce more items and activate many more buildings concurrently. I.e. at this point having 50 bases means having 50 satellites, which, if upgraded, result in 150 random resources collected without using any items and costing only 50 TP (which I think is a fair cost for more than 100 of resources, some of which could be extra-large). In any case, let's see how this goes and as always, I am open to additional suggestions.
  16. There's been an in-app update containing this bug, but another update was released almost immediately after that. Could you please try restarting the app after playing for a minute or two and let me know if this still happens?
  17. This should be fixed by the next in-app update, just give it a minute and restart the app. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  18. That's exactly how it works, yes. The old way to upgrade utility structures is still there. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  19. Hmm... unfortunately, I was unable to reproduce what you're describing: placing a new utility structure and upgrading that utility structure both produce a confirmation window illustrating the cost of the 2nd+ capture. Are you definitely running the latest version of the app (2.6.0)? It should be easy to verify by checking if you are able to select an individual utility structure and upgrade it via the small flag on its tooltip (exactly the same as the remote land upgrades). If you do not have that small flag button then your app may be out of date! The cost changes randomly every day, so sometimes it will be 1%, sometimes - more.
  20. And the first in-app update has landed! Everyone should receive it after playing 2.6.0 for around a minute and restarting the app (if it doesn't happen straight away, don't panic, it will eventually ). It is now possible to upgrade each individual utility structure by using a small "Flag" button on its tooltip (similar to remote land upgrades). That is all.

    Large land mergers

That is exactly what we're trying to do here! Thanks, Luna.
  22. Could be three random resources at level 3 though! It was changed for two reasons: Complaints about the satellite consuming personnel, which makes collection of personnel via satellite less rewarding. Travel points are a good logical alternative as a satellite "fuel": this way you don't have to have resources to collect resources (TP are acquired by any travels, including those that don't result in any resource gain, so satellites reward those who travel instead of those who amassed a lot of personnel) and it is also another counter-couching measure (especially for people with 90+ bases and dozens of satellites). You have to have moved around in the real world a little bit to collect more resources via satellites from your couch. Please let me know if that doesn't make sense or if you have further questions!
  23. Hi all, Version 2.6.0 is now available on the App Store and Play store, featuring: Tracking Satellite can now be upgraded to level 3, allowing to collect an additional resource per building level. Construction cost has been adjusted to include peacekeeping points. Tracking Satellite resource collection action no longer costs personnel, but instead requires 5 Travel Points. This cost remains the same regardless of the building level, so a level 3 satellite will collect 3 random resources for 5 Travel Points. Version 2.6.0 contains an in-app updater, which will allow us to deploy hotfixes and UI adjustments without releasing new app versions. UI updates will be downloaded in the background upon launch and applied during the next restart of the app, no additional actions required. I hope that this will allow us to release updates more frequently and without any delays associated with app review on both platforms. Because of this important addition version 2.6.0 is now mandatory for all devices; previous app versions will be decommissioned as of today. Please post if you have any questions!
  24. Really sorry for this! I am on the case, this confirmation should be included in the next release. ๐Ÿ˜‰
