Just noticed that merging two lands with buildings on it will spawn a toast stating how much base points it added whenever you merge via upgrading a land. But whenever you merge via the little tooltip magnet button this toast will not be shown.
First I was confused because of this and needed a second try to make sure base points are added one way or another. Spawning the toast in both cases would be helpful to prevent confusion of players in this situation.
