As you have already noticed, it's not possible to upgrade lands of level 100 and above the normal way. This is to encourage players to travel around and to not reward "just staying at home". However, you can still build special bonus buildings on a level 100+ land. If you want to make your big land bigger, you have to capture lands outside its current range and merge them with your big land.2 points
