MunKst3r
So how does pvp actually work for the game? I'm not sure how it does and I probably won't be learning from experience any time soon due to nobody being around.
0 Mr. D
There are two ways enemy players interact with each other currently: 1) By capturing a piece of land within enemy territory: once your land reaches the same level as your enemy's, each of your check-ins will deal 1 point of damage to that land or its defensive structures (e.g. walls). However, if the enemy builds a Guard Tower on that land, you won't be able to deal any damage to the land personally (in which case see option #2 below). 2) Army. Once you have barracks and recruited a bunch of soldiers, you can use "Army Controls" window (inside "My Lands") to target enemy players within a 100km radius from any of your bases. You can either choose to attack their lands or bases (but please note that attacking anyone will make your primary base visible for 24 hours, allowing for retaliation). If your lands are under attack by an army, it is wise to enable the "Defend surrounding lands" option within Army Controls: your army will travel to the attacked land and protect it. However, by doing so they lose any defence bonuses provided by the base where they used to be stationed. In case enemy army attacks your base directly, they will be facing all the defensive structures protecting your defending army. When that happens you will see a new option within the "Army Controls" panel saying either "Defence Status" or "Combat Progress" (depending on which side you are :)). The actual status window will look approx. as follows (for the attacking side. Defenders have a bit more details): Every 10 minutes both armies engage in a skirmish and you see the results within the casualties section in real time. If the defending armies are defeated, damage will be dealt to any defensive structures present on a base (walls, guard towers etc). Once there are no more buildings to destroy, base's "level progress" will work as its hit points and take any incoming damage until the base is completely eradicated (or, in case of your primary base, reduced to level 1) or the attackers are slain. In case of the latter, the combat ends, as expected. Each battle can last up to 2 hours, so if you're completely unprepared and got ambushed you have the ability to collect some resources, build an army and transfer it to the "hot spot" (it is allowed to "top up" the battling forces from both sides while the combat's in progress). Once the combat has ended (regardless of the outcome) there is a cooldown of one hour from the attacker's side, so you can't be attacked twice in a row. We have plans to diversify combat in the future and introduce power-ups, different types of units and other nice things. But until then... that's about it, really! Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to find out more about a particular combat element!
0 The one true king
I JUST attacked someone and notices a few things.... While the base went down 1 level that was it? I get no resources and there is nothing for me. Furthermore the player seems to be well over 100 km away? And i really see nothing. Seeing all the room there there is left, the gains from wat seem quite limited?
