Ok, I see where the confusion is coming from! I apologize, I was under the impression that you're getting a different value in meters, hence the discussion. I see it now; the problem is indeed in conversion from square meters to square kilometers, which in my case lacked 3 zeros! That's my bad, sorry! So to reiterate: we have the correct value of the land area in the app, but the new server-side formula was indeed sending value in a wrong unit; this has been fixed just now.

If your illustration is accurate then your attempts to capture land are actually correct! As soon as you're outside the "green" circle you should be able to capture new lands. Perhaps there was a GPS lag and your new position didn't register...? I'll run some tests myself and see if I can reproduce the problem (if yes, this will be fixed!), but in the meantime I recommend rebooting your phone, just in case the GPS chip is frozen!

One problem that might come up is the time that needs to be spent moderating this discord. Discords can get unruly and disorganized really quickly, and with such a small dev team, you might not want to divert your limited time to moderating a discord. If someone else moderates it, or people make their own, go for it, it's a cool idea, but it could be a bit of a hassle.

I agree, a social hub for updates and for people who love this game can relax and talk. It should totally become a thing.

Not yet, sorry! As mentioned in the other thread, there are some issues with introducing official in-game communication means between players who don't know each other in real life, but we're perfectly happy for players to setup their own channels for alliances & groups!
