  1. Interesting idea! Yes, "protection for new players" in general is on my task list and most likely a subject I'm going to focus on very soon (probably next week). Will have a think about what can be done with tracking!
  2. Whoa! Yup, that would be it, no investigation required! I can't believe you have that many stations nearby... i.e. not individual resources, but actual stations, right?
  3. In this case it may be the global area limit that you've reached. Can you please tell me the name of that land around which no resources are appearing? I'll run some tests later and find out the reason behind this.

    Tracked Player list

Players who haven't logged in for 7 days should now be automatically removed from the tracking list. Unfortunately, it may be a bit problematic to re-add them automatically, as there's a physical limit of 20 players that can be tracked (performance-reasons ) and seeing an error that you've reached that limit while only 2 players are visible (because 18 of them stopped playing) may be a bit confusing and misleading. So I've chosen the option to permanently remove them from the list when they're no longer active. However, I'll have a think about other ways to improve this section in the future...
  5. Time for another update! Look for 1.14.2 on the Play Store within the hour; the same version will be added to the App Store later this week. Featuring: it is now possible to capture resource stations remotely within 500m from yourself by pressing the "Flag" button inside their tooltip window (appearing when pressed on the station's map icon). This has been done because of the fact that too many stations appear in wild areas that have zero cell coverage, but unlike standalone resources stations can't be picked up using item bonuses, so there was just no way to reach some of them! Each marker tooltip now contains a "Distance" indicator, showing how far that resource/land/station is from yourself. Distance is calculated from the blue dot appearing on Earth View and will update in real-time as the dot moves. Hopefully this helps a bit in terms of planning when and what to activate item-wise, as well as which lands can be upgraded remotely. Tracked Players window should once again be functional. Allies and Force of Terror now have differently coloured flags on Earth View: blue for Allies and brown-ish orange for the Ai. As always, please post if you have any questions or feedback.
  6. I am positive that this is connected to our resource density limit (there are different tiers of density for "resources within walking distance" and "resources in the area"), as I haven't changed any relevant code recently, so there's no reason for it to break. However, please let me know if no new resources appear after you collect everything in the vicinity of the upgraded land!
  7. Affirmative. P.S. Please do let me know if you obtain one, I'm really curious about their frequency of appearance!
  10. Sorry, I was trying to avoid confusion, but did the exact opposite. As I said, it's a bit tricky to explain, so let me try the other way round! Item generation is actually a 2 step process: 1) One random item is picked out of the entire list of items (currently we have 5 items in total, so it's 20% for each item to get picked). 2) A dice roll is performed for the selected item. If it succeeds, the item is produced. If not, the process is repeated (see step 1). For step #2 Super Magnet has a chance of 30%, Experimental Magnet - 10% (they are treated as 2 independent items). However, because of the fact that Bullhorn, Radio Transmitter and Metal Detector all have a 100% chance in step #2 this lowers the probability to receive both Magnets (because as soon as one of these three is picked in step #1 - that's it! Magnet dice rolls aren't performed). Does this make any more sense?
  11. Ok, I'm convinced; I was leaning towards this option myself. Consider this adjustment live! There isn't a singular formula indeed, each perk has its own base cost (to unlock level 1) and its own cost per level (level * cost per level). Some of them are more expensive than others.
  12. Thanks for reminding me! Yes indeed, they are in the game, but their chance is lower than 5% because of the item assembly mechanics... it's a bit hard to explain, but in essence you'd need to make 2 successful subsequent dice rolls: 20% and 5% straight away. I do agree that they're a bit too rare (haven't see one either! ), so I've just ramped up their secondary chance to 10% (regular Super Magnet is at 20%/30%). Let's see how that goes! Not only I feel positive about your Wiki, I've seen it and even referenced it to one of the players in the past! Really appreciate your help here! Because of the fact that I jump in and out of the forum whenever I get a spare minute I would struggle with a long list of questions sent via PM, so please ask questions as they arise (i.e. as frequently as needed); doesn't matter if we end up with too many posts, as I see all the "unread" stuff and can use it as a task list for my responses.
  13. You are correct in regard to our usual conversion rates, but in the context of this particular perk right now it's literally the lowest resource you have (1 to 1 for each). I'm still torn between making it x10 for Money (as it would make a bit more sense) and keeping it simple, as no one really wants to do maths in their head while looking at resources. What do you think? @Grizzlyfilms most of your ideas are already in my list, I've noted them down when you created the "Ideas" thread. Unfortunately, I just can't work as fast as you're suggesting things, so there's not much benefit from repeating these things (if I previously stated that there will be combat-bonuses, equipment and additional units in combat in the future - rest assured it will happen one day ). So let's keep this thread dedicated to questions & feedback about the things this update introduced (Perks & My Lands UI)!
  14. Argh, that's rubbish! * Sigh * Ok, I will include the fix into the next update, as it's too many hotfixes for one day. Haha, well, the leaderboard is likely, but I'll do my best to restore your highest amount for that board whenever that happens, so please go ahead and spend everything.
  15. Damn, that's one stubborn phone you've got there! The longest cache duration I've seen is 24 hours, but perhaps we could also try re-installing the game? That definitely removes all local caches! I will also have a think about implementing a different translation system that bypasses the cache restrictions... my apologies for all the trouble!
  16. Thanks, Joris! It's that annoying phone cache again. Can you please open Settings -> Apps -> "Domination: Earth" -> Storage, tap "Clear Data", re-open the game and let me know if that helps?
  17. Hi all, An exciting long-promised update is here along with a brand new feature! So let's review all of its changes: "Construct" tab has been discontinued and no longer exists. Instead, all of its features have moved onto the new and cleaned up "My Lands" tab. All base-related functionality is now in one place, no more swiping for Army Controls and it is possible to see the selected base along with its surroundings straight from "My Lands" by pressing on the "camera" icon. As a replacement for the "Construct" tab, please welcome: Perks! Perks are global upgrades that affect your resource collection, items or combat aspects. Each perk can be unlocked by spending a certain amount of Peacekeeping Points, rewarded only for defeating the Force of Terror (non-player enemy). There are multiple levels behind each perk all varying in price, so choose carefully; there are no Peacekeeping Point refunds! Version 1.14 has launched on the Play Store and has been submitted to the App Store for iOS devices. The latter takes longer to be approved, but it's estimated that our iOS users will catch up on Perks by the end of tomorrow! As always, please post if you have any questions or feedback.
  18. Yup, sounds like a good idea! Adding to the list.
  19. Hi! I will reply in English if that's ok, as I don't speak Spanish! To capture new lands you need to physically go outside your base in real world and press the yellow "Flag" button - that will capture a small piece of land in your current position (determined by the GPS coordinates). Check the "Earth View" tab and look for a circle around your base - its radius shows how far away from the base you need to go to capture a new land. After you captured a new piece of land a green flag will appear in your current position on Earth View: you can tap on its icon, press the "Construct" symbol (a "hammer and wrench" icon) and from that window you can place towers in any of your captured lands. I hope that helps, but please let me know if you have any additional questions!
  20. You are absolutely correct. That window is planned to be removed and replaced with a new tab related to Peacekeeping points (stay tuned!).
  21. State with no name doesn't have a name purely because the AI is leader there. During the process of land capture your coordinates travel through Google geolocation system that adds a label for them in your local language (i.e. country, city, region etc.). Unfortunately, the AI doesn't have an actual mobile phone nor language settings, and it doesn't talk to Google that much, so we know where the AI's lands are, but we don't know their name (or what language the AI would pick, if it were to choose ). It is possible to fix, but wasn't a huge priority for me as the issue will go away as soon as someone defeats the AI in that region and claims it for themselves. But if that doesn't happen I will of course manually label that region. In terms of binoculars - these aren't locations of official capitals indeed! These are coordinates of one of the first active in-game areas (i.e. capitals of Domination: Earth, if you will ). They also appear only when players are active in the area (countries with no players or a leader will not have the statistics icon).
  22. What region are you in? We have lots of players around the world, but world is quite a big place. Majority of our players are from the US, but many European countries, Russia and even Australia also play quite actively. You can also check how many players are online currently by visiting https://domination.earth
  23. That means you are still running the previous version. Try checking Play Store for updates!
  24. * shrug * That's not our database, I'm afraid; we're storing whatever Google's reverse geolocation tells us for your coordinates! I think they're considering it a separate entity: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svalbard_and_Jan_Mayen
  25. You'd think that, right! And yet there are plenty of questions on the forums answers to which are listed in that section. Originally I wanted to keep that button there as a "mini-wiki" for players to reference when they forget how a certain element of game mechanics works (e.g. how many resources does each base level allow storing). However, now that we have the "Current Objectives" button inside the context menu on Earth View the "i" button did get slightly redundant for older players. I'll have a think about what can be done!
