National Leaderboards

Ruvox

Question

I've noticed that Land area, Lands Captured, Bases Established and Highest Base Level Leaderboards are separated between national and international Scores. This separation doesn't make any sense with Top Peacekeepers, Points of Fame, Richest Lands and Top Game Supporters scores and so there no such separation.
But I think a separation would also make sense for the Largest Army leaderboard since all army units have to be stationed at specific bases which in any case are associated to specific countries. For example someone could lead the international leaderboard with 10k soldiers but only have 100 soldiers in 100 different countries (even if this scenario is very unlikely).
In addition to that such a separated leaderboard would make it possible to guess the sum of baselevels someone has in a specific country (if the player stationes the maximum of soldiers).

The problem is that leaderboards are expected to be based on static numbers that work as "thresholds" for other players to aim for (i.e. highest achievement level).
The global army size leaderboard does not represent the amount of soldiers you currently have (as it shouldn't be used as a list of players to pick on :)), but the highest cumulative amount of soldiers you've ever had at any time; this number does not go down if you start losing soldiers.

Having a regional army leaderboard just doesn't work as these numbers can go up and down very frequently; you can transfer your armies between bases at any time and it wouldn't make for reliable statistics.
If you simply want to work out roughly how many bases (and of what level) a person has in a specific country you can simply use the "Highest Base Level"  and "Bases Established" together. :)
