  1. That's what I thought too and re-submitted 2.0.4 as 2.0.6 on Saturday (with a few additional fixes from your list), but looks like it only made things worse... Unbelievable.
  2. Whoa whoa, hold your horses! We're waiting for 2.0.6 (yup, still processing)! 2.0.3 has been live since last Monday; it's the one where the original issue was found!
  3. Thanks for your reports, guys! I believe one of our caching nodes got frozen (so the base details did not refresh), but I've just been notified that it has been resolved. Please perform a land capture (or any other action changing something on a base) and let me know if the problem is still there! P.S. As for the army value picker, it's one of the things that was supposed to be fixed by the latest update that Google's been sitting on for almost a week now. * sigh *
  4. It's absolutely ridiculous considering that we continue accumulating 1-star negative reviews from people who can't launch the app. Apple releasing our updates to the App Store quicker than Google is absolutely unheard of, but it seems to be the reality this & last week! I have tried reaching out to their support, but we've been told to keep waiting (there is no facility to expedite the release).
  5. Thanks for the feedback! Yep, the missing upgrade button will be included in one of the upcoming releases. Still waiting for Google to approve that hotfix for people stuck on the splash screen, but once that is live I'll release the version containing the upgrade button.
  6. Excellent! No problem and please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

    Added Icon

Thanks, Luna! That's exactly what it is. I am aware (and it has been suggested) that the icon could be improved / replaced with something more obvious, but unfortunately the person who designed our new UI hasn't worked with us for over a year now and I am a bit of a rubbish 2D artist myself, so I can't actually make a new one just yet. I am looking into the possible alternatives though.
  8. That's great news, thank you for sharing! I cannot believe that we are still waiting on Google to release the latest patch; my sincere apologies to everyone who is still stuck on the loading screen... the situation with Android releases is unprecedented. I would like to mention that any significant "lags" / delays between attempting to capture resources and the amounts updating, as well as resource icons appearing on the map after opening the window (etc.) are actually related to our server performance, not the client-side app itself. I am aware of the issue in certain (more popular) areas; we currently have tens of millions of resources scattered across the world and almost half a million lands (linked to an even greater number of buildings), so occasionally the server struggles to process all this data quickly. Optimizing these algorithms is my next highest priority after making sure that everyone can actually enter the game.
  9. Thanks for confirming! I have replaced the Ai flags with purple and also added different icons onto the flags, so that they don't just differentiate by color. The update is already live for Apple users, but unfortunately is still being reviewed by Google (they've been at it for a while now; hopefully we'll get approved by the end of Monday)!
  10. Not new enough, sorry! The fix I mentioned still hasn't been reviewed by Google! * Sigh *
  11. Hi @Luna, Really sorry for that, I will put this in my list of fixes as a priority! Can I ask if it's just the green & brown (Ai's) flags that look the same or the red ones of other players as well? Do you have any recommendations in regard to preferred colors that you can easily tell apart? As for the alliance termination button, that seems to be missing indeed; I'll bring it back in the next update!
  12. Really sorry for the delay with that, Google dropped the ball with reviewing the hotfix that I uploaded to the play store almost 2 days ago now! Still waiting for it to be approved by these guys... On a positive note, iOS version is now live! If any Apple users could confirm whether everything is functional and doesn't freeze on the loading screen it would be amazing!
  13. I've submitted a potential hotfix to the play store after the first report last night, but unfortunately it is still in the "Processing" state by Google. If you do see a prompt to update to version 2.0.4 before I post about it on the forum, please get it and let me know if the problem persists!
  14. It could be done, yes, but as I mentioned above, the problem is relatively minor (compared to the top 10 issues in my list) and there are only so many hours in a day (most of which are already reserved by my primary job). So yes, at some point in the future I will look into improving the timer accuracy, but I can't promise it will be in the next release!
  15. Good idea, I'll add the "Hide" feature to the task list!
  16. It's not exactly that simple; difference between two dates is exactly how the timer works already. The problem is the "whenever the screen is updated" bit, i.e. the 1-second tick itself. It seems that there are minor (micro) variations in ticks on different devices, then the ticks get frozen when the app or its screen go into "background mode" and the timer itself never really knows when it gets frozen or if it lags. The "skipping" bit is the timer synchronizing the current & end dates with the server and refreshing the visible countdown on the UI, i.e. resolving differences caused by UI lags and freezes. Unfortunately, unless the server-side synchronisation happens on every tick (which, as you can imagine, would be a massive load) there isn't much I can do as a quick fix. There are some ways I could address this problem, but the effort involved in refactoring this functionality just outweighs the gain, so the issue is a low priority at the moment, sorry!
  17. No problem, let's get to the bottom of this! Can you see the spinner in the middle of the screen or it's just a static image? If the latter, the app may be having difficulties downloading the translations... I would indeed try to uninstall the app altogether and install it from scratch again via the Play Store to make sure there isn't any dodgy cache left of the phone! If it still doesn't work, please PM me some details about your phone model & version of Android!
  18. 2020, 2.0, 2.0... Happy new year, everyone! As you can see, the numbers "2" and "0" literally make up the entire year, so that definitely means something... We are ecstatic to announce that "Domination: Earth 2.0" has now launched and contains a long-promised visual overhaul of the app! The new version is now available to all Android users via the Play Store and will launch on the App Store within the next few days; as always, we are ironing out some final issues with Apple, but do not anticipate the iOS release to be too far behind (I will post again in this thread once we spot the 2.0 on the App Store ). As mentioned in another forum thread, this is a purely visual update and no game mechanics have changed so far; performance and loading speeds should also remain roughly the same, but this is an area I will be focusing on next. There are also several graphical assets (mostly buildings) that remain unchanged, but we hope to address that at a separate point in the future once we find the right person for this job. Since this is a huge update that affects every single screen of the game please post if you spot any anomalies or bugs and I will do my best to assist with each of them. It is also worth mentioning that I have fixed the Google & Facebook authentication buttons, as well as all push notifications, so please let me know if either of those are still causing trouble! And of course, do not hesitate to post if you have any questions or general feedback; this update was quite an achievement for us so if you are enjoying it we will be super happy to hear all about it! - Dan
  19. Okay, the results are in! We have decided to award every player with 1 unit of Unobtainium for 1 day of activity (i.e. land capture) in December. The top 6 most active players are (name - number of days played): Force of Terror (Ai) 30 [URAS] Z3nd 29 Олег Поленин 29 Kellenasia 28 Tanyon 27 Tigercaller 23 As you can see, our Ai really had no break during holidays apart from yesterday and worked super hard to keep everyone entertained! But well done everyone else for keeping the terrorists at bay! Happy new year, ladies & gentlemen! There will be another exciting announcement shortly; stay tuned.
  20. Nope, sorry, we're waiting for the last day of December to give everyone a chance to participate. (considering the time zone difference it is likely that for some parts of the world the rewards will happen on the 1st of January)
  21. Does it still not work for you? I have tested the password reset emails on several different accounts 15 minutes after my previous post in this thread and the emails have arrived. If in doubt, PM me your email and I'll check that it is the right one indeed and can also change your password manually myself (don't tell me any of your current passwords, I can just assign a random password to the account and message it to you afterwards).
  22. Hi! The only officially broken things currently are the Google Sign-In (the "Login via Google" button) and the push notifications from land captures (I've created an announcement in the News forum about it ). The login fields aren't pre-populated by the app, it's something that is cached by each phone individually, so it's possible that an OS / Play Store update simply reset that for you. There was an email sending shortage earlier, but everything's back online and the password reset is functional now; please try again and if it still doesn't work - PM me and I'll help with the password change!
  23. Rushing through it every evening after work; most of the main screens are done, just have the Unobtainium purchase UI and the side-menu accessory windows left (alliances, messages etc.)! However, if someone is currently locked out because of the google sign-in issue, you can assign a password to your account via the "Forgot your password?" facility (reset password via PIN; this facility has been recently fixed!) or PM me and I'll change your password to a random one manually.
  24. Hi @Highshadow! Sorry for that, sometimes Google takes a while to finalize the payment (possibly some additional security checks?) and things don't happen instantly. Unobtainium should have arrived to your account now; I have added a little extra for the inconvenience and your patience. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
  25. Hey all, It's been a while since the last update and I am aware that DE is in a bit of a bad shape right now; seems that we've run into a patch of trouble with both Apple and Google, where the latter has accidentally terminated our account responsible for in-game notifications and Google Sign-In. What is worse is that in the course of investigation it has been uncovered that some assets in our latest version violate Google's developer policies (the reference to Google Maps, which is fair enough considering that our affiliation with Google Maps ended a while ago, but the images remained), so we cannot release an update addressing the notification & sign-in failure while the problematic 2D assets are still in the game. I have no choice but to expedite the development of our new "2.0" design and replace our UI entirely in the near future as the alternative is either an embarrassing "hodgepodge" (i.e. our current app with very specific images replaced by something that looks out of place) or a forced removal of DE from the Play Store, which is not something I'd like to see happen. Unfortunately, due to the limited amount of time I would not be able to complete 100% of the changes initially planned for the 2.0; some of the unfinished screens & assets will be based on the existing materials with minimal adjustments to fit them into the overall new style of the app, and I will be gradually improving the look & feel of all components as the time allows. However, I have made some progress with the Apple side of our app and am hopeful that the 2.0 release will happen for both platforms (Android and iOS). It is worth mentioning that there will be no game mechanics changes in the new version; everything will continue functioning as it did before. This is purely a visual overhaul of the app. On a separate and a more positive subject: Christmas is coming and this year we have decided to award all active players with Unobtainium without any requirements other than the need to login and play in December. The exact Unobtainium amount is still to be determined and may depend on your activity, so I'll leave it as a surprise. As always, please post if you have any questions!
