  1. 😆 this! I went to last two anomalies and you could pick out Exactly who was playing the game in a city of tens of thousands of ppl because they were tethered to external battery packs in their pockets or backpacks 🔋 What exactly does reprimanded mean btw?! Every time I go to the playstore they're trying to push some horrible filthy soul sucking cash grab at me and they came down on you for battery usage?!
  2. I'm surprised nobody's replied yet, I certainly won't be so shy. Personally, I'm a fan.. For several reasons Firstly: its expensive. A 10:1 reduction in time and effort sounds reasonable to me if your wanting to improve a land in another state (or country for you European types =P ) Secondly: The trading aspect is also very appealing. Handing someone a lvl 100 land from thin air should curry quite a bit of favor.. Or make amends after a brutal war But mostly I think I find it attractive because of another ethical argument that I'm having with myself. It's not against the rules to have multiple accounts, and most everyone on discord is actively engaging in land swapping. Which is making for some truly absurd flag levels.. The problem here is painfully simple.. We all know that Mr D doesn't want any kind of remote land acquisition. We've thought of 16 different ways we could implement it.. Most of them being fairly expensive. But in truth, I don't see a difference at all between remote land building and flag swapping. I mean seriously, who cares at this point if your able to go flag across town or hundreds of miles/km away when you can put your territory on a mule or give it to your S.O. Or a friend or whatever.. LoL KEEP FLAGGING! eventually your land will get there anyway! I understand Mr D's position and I'm playing within those parameters.. But I would also like some remote building lest I get tempted by the cheese.
  3. When I hit the flag button there's usually the little msg in the gray window that says rss's have spawned into the area and it'll cycle through 2 or 3 msgs fairly quickly. I haven't seen it all day. I've also been trying to pay attention after flagging and I haven't seen any rss's spawn into the map. I've asked a few ppl to verify, one said it works and another said it wasn't. I don't really have any more details than that besides I picked up lucky drop 2 last night (which would have something to do with extra msgs at least)

What I was trying to edit between comments #1 and #last was that I would almost expect you (her) to use tracking Sat..as there shouldn't be any difference between tracking and powerups..and the perks that affect them.. The best powerups can only reach out to 3km, not *Everything* in your bases range under flags
  5. I'm not trying to seed dissent, but pathfinder as well may need to be reviewed. As for tracking satellite, Idk why..but I always thought that was for gathering on your flags when your out of town... Just as any flag action always cleaned the flag you were on.. But if you're not in town, at current game population, it's likely there's nothing for tracking Sat to recover. Which is also fine.(or expected) I'm really much happier that flagging and pickups are divorced! Good looking out!

  7. Hey Mr D and Crew! I don't remember the menus being so much of an issue when I was starting, as much I remember the strategy and placing of bases and flags being.. Unintuitive. This, unfortunately, cannot be taught in a tutorial, it must be grokked! One thing that can, however, is some clarification on buttons. I think it took me just over a week to figure out that the flag button on resource stations could be tapped once within 500m to claim it. I remember thinking I had to be within 50m to use the hand 😆. I still don't know what the camera button on flags and bases is for, it seems to be from the my lands menu, but.. Idk I also agree with ruvox about the 3 dot menu, I've completely forgotten that it exists. One thing that doesn't display very well is battle messaging. If there are concurrent battles at several of your bases its impossible to gather information in a post mortem, except for the last line summary. A battle "thread", like in a gmail would keep them sorted. Or maybe as a table? Rnd1-your kills-their kills, next round the table updates, Rnd 2 etc etc. I know you like small footprints but I haven't been in a war yet, and when that happens I'm likely going to be looking for info in the messaging.. That might mean I want the whole log. Wars at multiple bases could have something important be completely overlooked. (I mention this now because while I know that battles are pretty straight forward as the game is, I'm pretty sure other units or combat mechanics getting changed is going to be a thing.. It's a "better sooner than later" point) Speaking of multiple bases, the game currently allows for multiple bases to overlap the same area. I have a couple of these spots and the problem I can't get around is attacking one FoT close to one base, and being unable to attack another FoT flag that is closer to another base, but still in that overlap zone because "your base is already engaged in combat" msg. I can only guess that this functionality extends to PvP, we need an "attack from base x, y or z" option to fix that please? Also along those lines, I've thrown flags in the overlap while closer to the base I just built (we'll say it was 105km from initial base, very close) and thought I saw those flags working towards the base lvls for the initial base, and not the one that I was closer to. I can't really confirm this for 2 reasons, one being that those bases are 900 miles away and I don't have a similar setup here yet. The other being that the little msg in the grey window appears and disappears so quickly I couldn't be sure what I was reading.. If we could get another second or two it would help in other areas too. Another thing that I know Ruvox has experienced as well is the difference between flags and collecting, or rather, lack thereof. When we load up 10 super magnets and go clean up the town, we'll get 2 magnets in and throw a flag and the flag acts as a pickup. I know there's a 50m pickup on flags but I don't think any of the powerups should increase it. To me, flags are flags, and mags are mags. I'd rather have their actions divorced as its messed up my planning before. Lastly, the ability to delete a flag, a base or an account.. I know there're several points to this, for and against, I'm not going to argue any of them for anyone. It's your call. I might also recommend one final thread for other questions that you don't even have to reply to. Just a space for us to post any last ditch questions, because like me, i have some other questions.. But I don't really know what's important at the coding lvl. So while I'm not really interested in the answers, since your changing the engine and I doubt they'll be the same question after 2.0, I would feel remiss if I didn't say something. (I said QUESTIONS not Ideas Griz! LoL) As always, Keep Up the Good Fight!! 👊
  8. Changing a land name for a single ubt is cheaper than that, and there really only so many names that I need to change.. The important ones at the center of large flags, bases, friends houses, near someone who you need to get msg to.. You can spend 5 bucks on ubt and have enough to change Many flags, that alone is a good enough reason to buy the man a cup of coffee

I was actually just talking about this on discord the other week because I can't care Less for every schmuck and their tax evading home scam business junking up my flag names! Furthermore, it's also an insult when I flag my or my friends homes and I get some stupid SEO crap name because some idiot paid to have it on the map..I'm playing a game not looking for advertisements! Thank You a Thousand Times! Thank You! Down With Bad Flag Names! (Yes, this means I don't want you getting up with 4square either!)
  10. I have no idea if this is intentional but I can confirm its effect.. When magnets are active, placing a flag has the same effect as using the "grab" or "pickup" for the magnets This is more confusing than anything else because you start your magnet run, clear an area, go to your next planned spot, drop a flag on the way, realize at the next spot that half the map is clear, get down the road a bit and run out of magnets before you wanted because you didn't know flagging uses them as well. I wouldn't mind if their actions were completely separated from each other

  12. So how does this affect the flag building system? If I'm not mistaken when someone builds a flag in or next to your territory, it's supposed to negatively affect you. Immediately. A truce should act like a nap, either timed or there can penalties for breaking it; and surrendering should cost more then your dignity.. Your paying someone to stop beating you. Although really I almost think there should only be one or the other. I'm not going to go much farther than this because I'm not personally familiar with these mechanics, but most importantly I Do think there shouldn't be Anything Anywhere that makes Any player disappear for Any reason.

  14. So I had a quick check through previous posts to see if this was redundant, apologies if it is, I didn't see this issue come up. Super magnets are Awesome, for the record 😁, although I seemed to have had a hiccup with supplies. Gold and personnel Dutifully marched into my pockets but not supplies. I was driving at the time so no promises that I didn't pick up Some, but certainly wasn't all. In fact I'm almost certain I saw another supply spawn in as everything else (that wasn't a supply crate) cleared off the map. I did a double collection in the last area to see if they would pick up after everything else, and they persisted. So yeah, Super Mag x 10 gets everything except:
