  1. Ah, right! That is actually correct then, sorry. This wasn't mentioned on the forum yet, as it was supposed to be part of the 1.10.2 update (but that release got delayed slightly), but we've adjusted the way base lands work: There used to be two circles around your base: a static one (establishing "presence radius") and the growing one (affecting all combat structures etc). However, not only this is confusing and problematic to explain to new players (many people still don't realize why there are 2 circles around your base), this doesn't make much sense later in the game when your base has grown quite a bit: why is it possible to capture new lands 100m+ away from the base's center even if that land is already yours and belongs to your base? Accordingly, to reduce the level of complexity we've removed the "smaller" circle (it will disappear visually in 1.10.2, but for now just please forget it exists ) and the growing land circle is the only one that matters: it determines your base's reach (including the territory within which you're considered to be present on that base) and how far you need to go to capture new lands. This means that the more you play, the further from base you'll need to go to progress (it won't be possible to capture new lands in a 100m radius infinitely anymore). I hope that makes sense!

    deleting items

Sounds reasonable! Will add that to our list.
  3. Wait, are you saying that you now have more than 1 base close to each other (i.e. less than 100km apart)?
  4. That is not intentional and I apologize for that - the initial level 100 land is indeed supposed to stay and the newer one - disappear! I've just released a fix; please let me know if you encounter the same problem again!
  5. Sort of! Player tracking doesn't show all of their lands across the world, just the ones that are around your current position and within your base's reach. Your presence at a base isn't actually required, but tracking gets reset (i.e. disabled) once you switch tabs or re-open the game. Anyway, please try again when you're outside your base, perhaps it was a one-off lag!
  6. That is some truly Christmas weather! View outside my window is simply miserable compared to that...
  7. Ok, sounds like this issue is spreading! Can you please try again and let me know if this is still happening to you? Please also remember which resource and in what amount you were collecting so that I could find it in the logs.
  8. I am really sorry that's happening to you; we've never experienced anything similar before! I've added some resources to your account just to keep you going while we investigate the issue! Update: I have just released one fix that may be relevant to the problem you're experiencing. Can you please try capturing another resource and let me know if it disappears again (if it does I'll once again add it manually to your account; all resource collections are logged in our system)?
  9. That is a very interesting idea, I like it! Providing the ability to open those using Unobtainium and having the ability to find Unobtainium in them sort of creates an infinite loop that defeats the purpose (i.e. why walk when you can just use the Unobtainium found in the same chests ), but the overall concept sounds good! We'll have a think about possible ways to implement something like this.
  10. Hmm.. that is bizarre! I will investigate! Were you using any items from the Assembly Plant at all (e.g. Metal Detectors, Super Magnets etc.)?
  11. Eerienkah is correct! You can see anyone within your base's 100km radius, especially if they attack you as the "Track Player" button appears underneath each attack-related message. Once you hit "Track Player" visit the "Tracked Players" tab and tap on that person's name to see them on the map.
  12. Awesome! Norway must be snowy!!
  13. There are some drawbacks to using OSM, unfortunately! First of all, Google Maps is better performing (especially on mobile devices) and no one enjoys a lagging map. Secondly, "Domination: Earth" is based on a large number of integrated Google services: from core Google Cloud features (including hosting of certain elements, social network authentication and messaging) to advanced geolocation & geocoding features, Google Places, integration with native Google Maps app (you may have noticed that it's possible to use "Directions" feature to any of the resources and lands) and a few other things. When all of your services are provided by one platform things usually work much smoother (and it's only one dashboard and once customer service for us to worry about ). Integration of OSM would require a complete rebuild of many APIs, which isn't worth the time investment at this stage, considering that we'll get a reduced app performance in return. However, we are monitoring the development and growth of both map service providers and will review the situation if circumstances change!
  14. That makes sense, yes; well-defended larger lands are a much better target for guard towers. However, I'm out of ideas in regard to making level 1 enemy encounters more interesting. Any suggestions?
  15. This is also another valid theory! I will adjust the way resources are picked up in the next version and add a notification when your base's inventory is full (preventing collection in such cases, instead of the resource simply disappearing).
  16. We don't mention the exact conditions you have to meet as this is supposed to be a random surprise, not a guaranteed way for farm Unobtainium. But yes, everyone who tries, but doesn't get any rewards due to bad weather conditions will participate in a "lottery with more than one winner" and receive something when this is over!
  17. Well, usually that means that someone else managed to pick it up before you did. Earth View map refreshes whenever you press any of the buttons (e.g. "Capture Land" or "Pick up Resources") or switch tabs back and forth, but if you continuously keep the map open the resources seen on it may be already gone by the time you pick them up. Are there any other players in your area (not necessarily right next to your base, as others may also be using Super Magnets, especially if there's a super-stack of supplies at stake )?

    Default defence

You are correct, but the alternative would require a set of more granular controls to allow defending different lands with differently sized groups of soldiers (or something along those lines ). Combat mechanics is planned to be expanded and enhanced greatly, so features like that will keep appearing in various releases from time to time.
  19. No problem, it's done! But let's agree that this is the last time indeed!
  20. @Eerienkah is right! Capturing a land on the border of another player's land can be a major pain for their expansion. You can indeed build a guard tower to deal additional damage more frequently, or capture multiple lands and build more than one guard tower to have an even shorter cooldown period between tower attacks. However, any ideas are also welcome.
  21. Hi all, You've most likely seen the Christmas announcement at the top of our forum by now; I am happy to confirm that the festive event has launched and is now active! As there doesn't seem to be a facility for comments in the actual Announcement, please use this thread for any questions or feedback! Merry Christmas, everyone! P.S. If you haven't closed "Domination: Earth" since yesterday and are still playing, please re-open the game to get the latest notification texts (they are downloaded from the cloud when the app starts).
  22. As I said, there are many additional features planned for that aspect. We can't change anything in an instant (at least because there's only 1 developer in this team ), but there will be additions to the land capture and expansion mechanics (and buildings that affect it). However, you may be surprised to know about what time players can find! We have several players with multiple lands of level greater than 200 (i.e. at least 4 level 100 lands)!
  23. That sounds about right: a charge is expended for each use of the "Pick up" (round hand) button and "Capture Land" (flag) that results in at least one collection of a resource; so you do get to collect resources 5 separate times using that item. However, magnet is also limited by time and disappears in 1 hour after activation. Could that be the case? If not, is it possible that you've tapped this button multiple times? This shouldn't expend all of the charges, but in case of severe network delays (i.e. lags ) there is a very small theoretical chance of multiple charges expending at once... I'll run some tests on this as well, just in case.
  24. There will undoubtedly be more features in the future that relate to army and building types; combat will be more diverse in the future and it is entirely possible that we'll introduce some sort of connections between bases. However, changing the entire gameplay model to be based around users playing from home and work only is really not something we're interested in. As you've correctly pointed out, there are lots of games focused on exactly that; no other strategy requires you to leave home to advance in it. And the idea behind Domination was not to make another game like everyone else's, but to offer new incentives to leave your home. This is something I quite enjoy personally: with "Domination: Earth" I've discovered lots of interesting places around my town and county that I've never had a reason to visit before. And this reason dissipates if I can achieve the same results without leaving my house or the office. So despite all the new functionality, unit types and remote base management possibilities that we still plan to add, I have to warn you that it'll never be possible to conquer all of Earth in this game while only travelling from home to work and back again.
